A gaming laptop that hits 552 frames per second in CS2 and nearly 250 in Cyberpunk 2077 deserves more than a spec sheet. The HyperX OMEN PRO 16 Ryzen Edition was put through actual game benchmarks, stress tests, and creative workloads, and the results paint a clear picture of what this machine is built for.

The Ryzen 9 9955HX is AMD's flagship mobile chip right now, and it earns that title on paper and in practice. Cinebench R23 returned 37,579 points multi-core and 2,191 single-core. Cinebench 2026 posted 7,090 multi-threaded and 524 single-threaded. Under AIDA64 stress test, package power held steady around 105W with CCD temperatures sitting at 74 to 75 degrees Celsius. That is composed behaviour for a chip running at this level inside a laptop chassis.
The RTX 5060 Laptop GPU runs at its full 115W TDP. Under FurMark stress, it held that wattage without dropping, and the core temperature peaked at only 62 degrees Celsius. In combined CPU and GPU stress, total system output crossed 200W, with processor temperatures around 80 degrees and the GPU staying at 76 degrees. The Cool Storm PRO+ cooling system with five heat pipes and phase-change thermal paste at 8.5 W/m·K is doing real work here.
Game performance reflects that thermal headroom. Cyberpunk 2077 at 2K high settings with 4x frame generation averaged 197 FPS. Enabling 6x frame generation through DLSS 4.5 pushed that to 246.7 FPS. Ray tracing at medium quality with 6x generation still hit 184 FPS. Black Myth: Wukong at 2K high with 4x generation averaged 173 FPS. Shadow of the Tomb Raider, an older title without multi-frame generation, averaged 167 FPS at 2K high. CS2 at 1920×1200 low settings averaged 552.7 FPS, which is where the machine becomes absurd in the best way for competitive players.
OMEN AI adds another layer. With it enabled in CS2 at 2K default settings, average FPS jumped from 203.7 to 369.1, an 81% improvement without touching a single setting manually. It currently supports titles including Delta Force, Valorant, League of Legends, Naraka: Bladepoint, and PUBG, with Battlefield 6 and Call of Duty support coming.

The 8KHz keyboard is the feature that separates this from most gaming laptops in the segment. At a 0.125ms response time versus the 4ms typical on standard gaming keyboards, the input lag difference is measurable and noticeable during fast-paced play. Standard arrow key sizing benefits racing game players, and the power button relocation to the upper right corner eliminates accidental shutdowns during sessions.
The 2.5K 240Hz display measured 596 nits peak brightness in testing, beating the 500-nit spec. Color gamut coverage reached 99.7% sRGB and 78.4% DCI-P3. Average Delta E came in at 1.32 with a maximum of 3.11, which is accurate enough for light creative work alongside gaming. VRR support keeps screen tearing out of the picture.
Storage speeds from the preinstalled 1TB PCIe 4.0 SSD measured 7,085 MB/s sequential read and 6,670 MB/s sequential write. A second M.2 bay is open for expansion.
For creative workloads, Procyon photo editing returned 7,441 points across Photoshop and Lightroom. Video editing in Premiere Pro scored 35,473 points, handling 4K multitrack editing without complaint. PCMark 10 Extended total came in at 13,079, with a gaming sub-score of 26,523 and digital content creation at 15,797.
The HyperX OMEN PRO 16 Ryzen Edition is priced in the 7,000 to 10,000 yuan range (roughly $960 to $1,370 or ₹80,000 to ₹1,15,000 at exchange rates, expect higher in India after import duties). At that price, the 8KHz keyboard and 200W+ sustained performance output are genuine differentiators that competing configurations in the same bracket do not match.
